Takeshi Tanazawa

Sr. Vice President and Chief Coordination Officer
Westinghouse Electric Company

Takeshi Tanazawa is responsible for coordination between Westinghouse and Toshiba to identify and realize synergy opportunities and to help expand Westinghouse business around the globe. He was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Coordination Officer of Westinghouse on April 1, 2012. He had been acting Chief Coordination Officer since July 1, 2011.

Prior to his most recent appointment, he served as Vice President and Coordination Officer for Westinghouse Nuclear Services since December 2006, and also for Westinghouse Nuclear Automation since it was established as a separate product line in June 2010.

Mr. Tanazawa is also Chief Specialist of the Westinghouse Coordination Division for Toshiba Corporation Power Systems Company.

He has 30 years of diverse experience in laser application research, government-sponsored large project management and general strategic planning for the nuclear industry within Toshiba Corporation. He also has served as a project leader for construction of the Taiwan Lungmen ABWR project.

Mr. Tanazawa has a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Nagoya University.
